Refund Policy
Effective June 13, 2026. Paid checkout is currently locked, but this policy defines the planned refund rules before launch.
Current status
Free scans are currently free. Paid evidence packets are not live until manual HCAD portal validation and compliance review pass.
Future digital report purchases
When paid reports open, the product will be a digital, property-specific evidence packet that may be generated and delivered shortly after checkout. Because digital products are delivered quickly, refunds are limited to the situations below unless checkout terms say otherwise.
Refunds we expect to honor
- Duplicate charge for the same property and same tax year.
- We cannot generate or deliver the purchased report.
- The report was generated for the wrong HCAD account because of our matching error.
- A material file-delivery failure prevents you from accessing the report and we cannot fix it.
- A compliance or validation hold prevents us from delivering the purchased product.
Refunds we generally do not provide
- No reduction, settlement, tax savings, or desired protest outcome.
- Missed filing or evidence deadline.
- Incorrect information entered by the buyer.
- Disagreement with HCAD, ARB, tax rate, exemption, or official process.
- Use of the report after download unless the issue is a qualifying defect above.
Request window
Refund requests should be sent within 7 days of purchase or delivery, whichever is earlier, unless applicable law requires a longer period. Include the property address, HCAD account number, purchase email, and reason for the request.
